『サッカー スペイン1部ビジャレアルにおける「人」を軸とした組織改革について』

先日、スペイン1部のサッカークラブ「ビジャレアルC.F.」マネージメント部の 佐伯夕利子氏をゲストに迎え、二子玉川にて講演・パネルディスカッションが行われました。

「ビジャレアルC.F.」は、世田谷区に拠点を置く日本のラグビーチーム「リコーブラックラムズ東京」と、教育・育成を通じたサステナビリティ推進に関するパートナーシップを締結し、競技の枠を超えた「人づくり・街づくり」の取り組みを進めています。

日本とは異なる価値観や文化をもつスペインという国で、人口も財源も圧倒的に少ないながらも、ビジャレアルという5万人都市のサッカーチームが、なぜ世界トップクラスのチームに上り詰めることができたのか。

その背景には「人」を軸とした組織改革がありました。

価値観が固定化した日本の組織において、活かせることがあるのではないかと思います。
講演およびパネルディスカッションの中で特筆すべきと思った点を、備忘録として残します。

“Organizational Reform Centered on ‘People’ at Villarreal CF in Spain’s La Liga”

Recently, a lecture and panel discussion were held in Futako-Tamagawa, featuring Ms. Yuriko Saeki from the Football Management Department of Villarreal CF (Spanish La Liga) as a guest speaker.

Villarreal CF has formed a partnership with the Japanese rugby team “Ricoh Black Rams Tokyo,” based in Setagaya, to promote sustainability through education and youth development, advancing initiatives for “developing people and communities” that transcend the boundaries of sports.

In Spain—a country with values and culture different from Japan’s—how did the soccer team from Villarreal, a city of just 50,000 people with far fewer residents and financial resources, manage to rise to the ranks of the world’s top-class teams?

Behind this success lay organizational reforms centered on “people.”

I believe there are lessons here that could be applied to Japanese organizations, where values tend to be rigidly fixed.
