保育園で4、5歳児を対象に行われた、リサイクルなどについて学ぶ環境学習を見学させていただきました。

清掃のお仕事や、ゴミ集積所などについて知り、興味津々の子どもたち。紙などをリサイクルする体験にも積極的に取り組む姿が印象的でした。

世田谷区清掃リサイクル部のごみ減量公式キャラクター「ヘラソ」くんも大人気。これからペットボトルキャップを色別に集めて、定規にする取り組みにも挑戦します。

子ども時代に、捨てずにリサイクルに回すことの意味を体験として学ぶことの意義を実感しました。

I had the opportunity to observe an environmental education session held at a daycare center where children learned about recycling and related topics.

The children were fascinated as they learned about sanitation work and trash collection sites. It was impressive to see them actively participating in hands-on activities to recycle paper and other materials.

“Heraso,” the official waste reduction mascot of the Setagaya City Cleaning and Recycling Department, was also a huge hit. The children will try their hand at an activity where they sort plastic bottle caps by color to make a ruler.

I truly realized how important it is for children to learn firsthand, during their childhood, the significance of recycling rather than throwing things away.
