世田谷区議会・子ども・若者施策推進特別委員会のメンバーで、港区児童相談所の視察に伺いました。

人口26万人の港区では、令和6年に児童相談対応件数が1629件あり、そのうち虐待件数が1137件と69％を占めたそうです。

子どもに関する相談事をワンストップで行う体制づくりに努められ、子ども家庭支援センターと、児童相談所、そして母子生活支援施設が連携して切れ目ない支援を行っていることについてお伺いしました。

施設の中を見学させていただき、一時保護されている子どもたちの権利が守られ、安心・安全で、健やかな成長を目指した工夫や、職員さんたちの献身的な業務内容についても知ることができ、世田谷区の事業のためにも参考になりました。

As a member of the Setagaya City Assembly’s Special Committee on the Promotion of Policies for Children and Youth, a group of us visited the Minato City Child Guidance Center.

In Minato City, which has a population of 260,000, there were 1,629 cases handled by the Child Guidance Center in Reiwa 6, of which 1,137—or 69 percent—were cases of child abuse.

I learned about their efforts to establish a one-stop system for child-related consultations, where the Child and Family Support Center, the Child Guidance Center, and the Mother-and-Child Support Facility collaborate to provide seamless support.

During our tour of the facility, I observed the measures in place to protect the rights of children in temporary custody and ensure a safe, secure environment conducive to healthy development. I also gained insight into the dedicated work of the staff, which served as a valuable reference for Setagaya City own initiatives.
