今年も、母校である聖心女子学院初等科6年生の社会科の授業にお招きいただきました。

政治を身近に考えられるように、というご意向を受けて、区議会議員の仕事や、政治と日常生活の関連性などについて、お話しました。

政治家になるにはどうしたら良いかや、区が新たに建物を建てるか否かの判断はどうするのか、など、次々に質問が出て、彼らの将来に大きな希望を感じました。

I was invited to speak to the sixth-grade social studies class at my alma mater, the Sacred Heart Elementary School again this year.

In response to the school’s desire to help the students relate politics to their daily lives, I spoke about the work of a city assembly member and the connection between politics and everyday life.

The students asked a steady stream of questions—such as how to become a politician and how the city decides whether to construct new buildings—and I felt a great sense of hope for their future.
