【山野児童館に一目惚れしました！】

先日の車座集合の会場が山野児童館だったので、初めて足を運びました。
遠くから緑で覆われた建物を一目見て、とても気に入ってしまいました。

中に入ってさらにびっくり。子どもも大人もワクワクするような素敵な作りで、こんな児童館が区内にあったことを知って嬉しくなりました。

会合の後で、児童館長さんが館内を案内してくださいました。子どもが隠れられそうなちょっとしたスペースや、汽車の乗り物、畳の部屋や屋上テラスなど、楽しい工夫がたくさん。

館の歴史についてもご紹介くださいました。
昭和49年に母親8名が集合し、山野小学校近隣に学童保育クラブがほしいと、署名運動や請願を開始。プレハブを使った活動期間などを経て、昭和57年に開館したことを知りました。まさに地域の力で作られた児童館です。

区では現在、児童館を福祉の課題に対応するための拠点の一つに位置付けて、28ある地区に一館ずつ配置していくこととしています。

子どもが心から開放されて遊ぶことに夢中になれる場所が増えていくと良いと思いました。

The venue for the recent gathering was the Yamano Children's Center, so I visited there for the first time.
I saw the green-covered building from afar at first glance and fell in love with it.

I was even more surprised when I went inside. It was a wonderful building that thrilled both children and adults, and I was happy to know that there was such a children's center in the city.

After the meeting, the director of the children's center gave us a tour of the building. There are many fun features such as a little space where children can hide, a train, a tatami room, and a rooftop terrace.

He also introduced the history of the center.
In 1974, eight mothers got together and started a petition and signature drive for a school-age childcare club in the neighborhood of Yamano Elementary School.
After a period of activities using prefabricated buildings, we learned that the center opened in 1982.
It is truly a children's center built by the power of the community.

Setagaya now considers children's centers to be one of the bases for addressing welfare issues and intends to place one in each of the 28 districts.

I thought it would be good if there were more places where children could truly open up and be absorbed in playing.
